Sony RX100 Grip Hack

I just got the Sony RX100 V because my trusted old Sony NEX 5T simply feels outdated for me. It’s a beautiful little powerhouse but it’s SO slippery to hold. I’ve watched at least 10 reviews of the thing but was surprised that nobody mentioned it.

A few moments later and an always inspiring conversation with the Mrs, I saved this camera from a certain death by dropping and now it’s run, chase and vlog safe! (more…)

Video: YOGA at Freemyme gym

Yoga at Freemyme is one of the best on the island, simply because of the variety of teachers and styles. There’s something there for everyone and I wanted to reflect that with this video I made for them, one spiritual aspect and one more fitness oriented aspect. Whoever you are and whatever you like, this is for you.

Video Series for Freemyme Gym

Last year I was convinced by my better half to try out a new gym in Sliema, Freemyme. Reluctantly I agreed to go have a look after having moderate to no success at keeping the regularity of attending a gym for more than 3 months. Against my own belief I fell in love with the place and it’s staff and earlier this year we decided to start to collaborate on some videos to promote this inspiring place.

I come from a background of handball and basketball. Like most kids, I stopped at some point in my teen years because it was just getting too serious and I was busy pursuing girls and my DJ career. The natural option to stay healthy was to get a gym membership and start lifting weights, hitting the machines and trying everything to recreate that feeling of adrenaline as I had training basketball. It never felt the same and after a few months I always ended up slacking off or giving up entirely because it wasn’t a joy, it was a chore and as one of the trainers at Freemyme said, nobody likes to do chores (I confess, I like to vacuum, sue me).

Starting training at Freemyme I felt immediately huddled into the team and sprung straight into action. This was in mid 2015 and I’m still there pounding it out several times a week. It feels like a team sport but without the stifling commitment of professional sports training. At the same time it feels like personal training, tailored for you, but in a group environment. It might not be the best for everyone, but it’s absolutely perfect for me. This series of videos will be ongoing so watch out for updates of this playlist.

Drone Aerial Over Sliema

Between managing a baby, a career and a half, crazy winds and breaking out into a horrible cold… I’ve been struggling with getting my eye in the sky up and running. Last Sunday we had a BBQ on the roof terrace and I decided to take it up for a quick spin around my neighbourhood. The footage is absolutely nothing but the potential of the Phantom 4 is absolutely staggering. Now I just need to get a baby sitter ;)

The Birth Of My Son

The other day I got an email from someone who said he just visited my website and saw the beautiful pregnancy pictures of my wife and congratulated me on having a baby. That was about a year ago and I thought to myself, it can’t possibly be true that I haven’t updated my website since then… oh, apparently it is.

About a year ago I started a new project called – Fatherologist – Stay At Home Dad, it’s not rocket science, is it? Between that, actually having a baby and being a stay at home dad, building a new house and project managing several others all while maintaining my regular media production work it’s been hard to keep this website alive. That along with the ubiquity of social media and my Facebook pages has just rendered this digital business card a bit redundant, but shame on me for saying that. It’s time to kick up some dust again.

Before we continue, I want to share a film I made about the birth of my son, then we’ll get back to normal business.

Carlsberg product promotion

I was contacted by the good people of Carlsberg to cover their event at the Farsons Beer Festival. I was hired to take photos and to make a video to give a good insight of the thirst quenching fun that took place. Good food, great drinks, fantastic performances, all wrapped up in that Emilogy goodness. Check out the video and photos below. (more…)

Video: Flying around in Balluta Bay

Today I was trying out my slightly modified drone, I’ll explain exactly what that modification was in a future post. Anyway, I was lazy and simply walked down to the beautiful bay of Balluta. One of these days, one of those pigeons is going to fly into my quad and get decapitated. You’ll see what I mean in the video. (more…)

Video: Jägermeister product promotion

Jägermeister have been doing beach events throughout the summer, playing games and getting drunk… in that order. Shortly after I had finished the Carlsberg video, I was contacted to help Jägermeister showcase their hilarious beach antics and afterdrinks at Bar Native in Paceville. I was asked to make a product promotion video, have a look below.

Video: Gianni Zammit & RUG

Gianni and his group, RUG are a bunch of hilarious musicians who, among other things make outrageous dirty covers of famous songs. They put on a great show at the Farsons Beer Festival and it was requested that I made this short video for them, showing some of the great moments and energy that they brought on stage. (more…)

Video: The Nordic Boat Party 2014 Vol III

It’s the longest I’ve ever taken in editing a video, but when it comes to Nordic, it’s close to heart so it’s hard not to give it all you’ve got. So, a week later I managed to finish the third boat party of Nordic Bar for this summer. We still have one more to go, but for now, enjoy the visuals and temptations that exist onboard the Nordic boat!

How to DJ on an iPad with DJ Player and Midi Fighter 3D

When I was 13 years old I jammed a piece of metal into my parents stereo to lock the button between the cassette player and the vinyl player, giving the sound of each audio source in each speaker. I would use erasers and coins to weigh down on the needle to slow it down or speed it up and I would beatmix like this with the cassette deck. That was 23 years ago, we’ve come quite a long way since.
